After School Program - Introduction to Handbuilding & Sculpture Classes - Starts Wednesday, 21 July
Young people aged 12 to 16 can now enjoy making their own clay projects in Drummoyne, after school. The classes will be taught by an experienced Ceramics Teacher and participants will learn how to turn clay into useful items and have fun in the process.
Limited to 6 students only. Basic tools supplied. You will receive 6 kg of clay (more can be purchased @ $24 per bag if needed). Starter tool kits are also available. You just need to bring an old shirt and covered shoes.
You can have up to 6 pieces fired and glazed. Additional fees apply for extra firings for those who want to do more.
There will be 8 classes to attend over 8 weeks. Each session is 1.5 hours and participants must be available for these times and dates:
- 4 to 5:30 pm
- Wednesdays between 21 July and 8 September 2021
Your tutor will be Sally Khurshed - an experienced Visual Arts teacher specialising in Ceramics, who has many years of teaching experience. Sally has sold her work in galleries and also won awards for her sculptural and hand-built work.
