Community Clay - Kids Holiday Clay Class

We’re hosting a special Community pottery class this July School Holidays at the Drummoyne Arts & Crafts Co-operative studio.

Parents can come along with their kids to make their own ceramics. We’ll use stoneware clay, which will be glazed and fired back at Glaze Galleria’s kiln.

This Clay Hand Building pottery class will. Be relaxing, fun and create some special memories with their kids and family members. The DACC studio is a great place for this 2-hour class! The class will run from 11 to 1 pm, then you can go for a bite to eat at one of our great local eateries.

A experienced Ceramics teacher will teach you all the techniques you need to be able to hand-make two pieces of pottery. After the class, we’ll bring your pieces back to Glazes Galleria to completely dry out, then bisque fire them, glaze them and finally glaze fire them. We’ll give you a choice of colours for the glazing.

The finished pottery will be ready to pick up in about 5 to 6 weeks time. Final pieces will be food, microwave & dishwasher safe.

Spots in this class cannot be rescheduled without 48-hours' notice. A minimum of 10 students is required for this event to go ahead.

The Drummoyne Arts & Crafts Co-operative Studio is located at 17 Lyons Road, Drummoyne, next to The Oxford Hotel.
