Clay & Sip Wheel Throwing Class
This is our most popular class!
Join us for a 2-hour clay workshop in our ceramic studio based in Sydney Inner West's Drummoyne. You'll learn to use a pottery wheel to make a small bowl or cup or a small plant pot, whilst sipping on a glass of wine. We have a maximum of 8 students in each class so you'll get lots of attention.
You don't need any experience, so beginners are welcome. Everyone makes something. We supply stoneware clay, tools and an experienced ceramics instructor to teach you to build your pieces on the wheel.
You get to throw as many pieces as you can to really develop your skills. You can then choose which pieces you keep. The class includes two pieces and we then trim, fire, glaze in your choice of four colours and then fire them again, ready to pick up in 3 to 4 weeks. We'll finish more pieces for an additional $10 per piece.
You'll end up with functional food-safe, microwave/dishwasher/oven-usable ceramics.
We also provide cheese & crackers. You bring the wine and:
Be ready to have some fun! You may even get addicted and want to enrol in our 4-week courses to develop your skills.
Sustainability is very important to us, so all unfired clay is reused and we recycle most of our water too.
