Pedestal Bowl

One piece, two entirely different lives. Right way up, this handmade ceramic pedestal bowl is a sculptural centrepiece — elevated on its base and glazed in a layered combination of Turquoise, Cornflower and Pink, it's striking enough to display fruit, cheese, sweet treats or a loose arrangement of flowers. Turn it upside down and the base becomes a generous dip bowl, perfect for olives, hummus, or dukkah at the centre of a shared table.

The partially raw clay base is left unglazed, letting the natural texture of the stoneware show through and grounding the piece with an earthy, handmade warmth that sets it apart from anything mass-produced. The glaze combination shifts beautifully across the surface, making each pedestal bowl a genuinely one-off piece.

Made in small batches in Sydney by ceramic artist Bruna Rodwell, this is the kind of piece that gets passed around a dinner table in conversation as much as it gets passed around with food.

Please note: as each piece is handmade, slight variations in glaze, height and form are a natural part of the process and are what make your pedestal bowl truly one of a kind.
