Sculpt your very own one-of-a-kind teapot loaded with character and personality in a fun, welcoming and positive environment. No experience or perceived artistic talent required, your tutor Tanya Bechara (multi award winning teapot maker) will guide you through the technical and creative side every step of the way.
What you'll do
- Learn hand building techniques to sculpt your own unique teapot
- Get guided support on shaping the spout, handle and lid so it all comes together
- Add your own creative touches to bring personality and character to your piece
- Choose a glaze colour to be applied after bisque firing
What you'll get
- 2.5 hours of guided instruction with Tanya Bechara
- All clay and tools supplied
- A glaze colour choice for your finished teapot
- You can make additional items if time permits for $20 per piece
- Optional 1-hour extension to hand paint your teapot with a selection of underglaze colours before firing
- Your teapot will need to dry, be bisque fired and glaze fired after class, so it won't be ready to take home on the day. We'll be in touch when it's ready for collection in 3 to 4 weeks. If you'd like to hand paint your own underglaze design instead of choosing a single glaze colour, add the 1-hour painting extension when booking.
