Clay Kits
Do you need a great activity you can do with a bunch of friends? Or, are you looking for a fun team-building activity? Why not organise an online clay class with your own Clay Kit and have some fun at home while you play with clay.
So grab a glass of wine, some snacks and let's get making.
Clay is a great tactile craft. It’s a mindful activity that helps you slow down in this hectic world. Plus, you can make things you can actually use. We include stoneware clay which is fired twice, up to 1260 degrees, which makes your pieces food-safe, microwave-safe, oven-safe and dishwasher-safe.
This is a great introduction to the basics of hand-building with clay.
Join us for a hands-on, interactive video class! A Clay Kit will be delivered to you and includes clay, pottery tools and firing for two pieces of stoneware clay.
Your instructor via Zoom, Bruna Rodwell, will walk you through how to use the tools in your kit and go through, step-by-step, how to make a cup and bowl using hand-building techniques. You can choose your glaze colour too.
You don’t need any experience!
You can pick up your Clay Kit/s before the online class (allow up to 5 days prior if you need delivery). The Clay kit includes everything beginners need to create their own ceramic pieces:
- 2 kgs of Stoneware Clay
- Instructions
- an 8-piece tool kit with a Loop Tool, Potter's Rib, Ribbon Tool, Needle Tool, Wood Modelling Tool, Sponge, Aluminium Scraper & a Wire Clay Cutter
- Firing and glazing of 2 pieces at Glaze Galleria (or you can fire it elsewhere)
Options:
- Underglaze Pallete with 6 colours & instructions, which you can use to decorate your dry pots, before firing. The final pieces will also get a coat of clear glaze.
- Clay Kits without a video class
We'll email you instructions. Once your pieces are completely dry, you can bring them into the studio for firing within a few weeks.
You'll end up with pieces that are food safe that you can use at home.
These classes are great for corporate groups too. Get in touch for package deals on 10 or more participants and to discuss dates.
