Grab our Clay Kit and relax at home while you play with clay. Add a glass of wine, some snacks and a friend for an instant date night!

Clay is a great tactile craft. It’s a mindful activity that helps you slow down in this hectic world. Plus, you can make things you can actually use. We include stoneware clay which is fired twice, up to 1260 degrees, which makes your pieces food-safe, microwave-safe, oven-safe and dishwasher-safe. We’ll also provide instructions by email with tips about how to use clay to create.

The Clay kit includes everything beginners need to create their own ceramic pieces:

• 2 kgs of Stoneware Clay 
• Instructions
• an 8-piece tool kit with a Loop Tool, Potter's Rib, Ribbon Tool, Needle Tool, Wood Modelling Tool, Sponge, Aluminium Scraper & a Wire Clay Cutter
• Firing and glazing of 2 pieces at Glaze Galleria (or you can fire it elsewhere) in your choice of 4 colours

This is a great introduction to the basics of hand-building with clay. You don’t need any experience!

Once you bring your dried pieces back to the studio, you’ll be able to choose your glaze colour.

If you want to hand paint your ceramics, you can purchase our Kiwi Underglazes to decorate your dry pots, before bring them into the studio for firing. The final pieces will then get a coat of clear glaze.
