Hand-built from speckled stoneware clay, the interior is glazed in white while the exterior is left natural, letting the warm iron speckles of the raw clay show through. That contrast between the smooth glazed inside and the textured, earthy outside is what gives this platter its quiet character — it looks just as good empty on a shelf as it does full on a table.
