Clay & Coffee Hand Building Pottery Class

We have some great cafes nearby! So why not grab a coffee and come along to our relaxing Clay Hand Building class.

Embark on something new and creative with friends through our 2-hour clay workshop nestled in our cozy ceramic studio. With a maximum of 8 participants, expect an atmosphere of personal attention and creativity. 

Under the guidance of an experienced Ceramics instructor, you’ll learn to transform clay into useful items with their own hands while revelling in the joy of the creative process and infuse your creations with your personality.

No prior experience necessary; just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm. We provide the clay and tools and a supportive instructor will impart various techniques for crafting and embellishing your pieces. Make a mug or cup of any description, or something else if you like! Then you can decorate with underglazes during the class (clear glazed later) or choose one of our studio dipping glazes for glazing by us later.

Select your two favourite pieces for bisque firing and we'll glaze them and fire to 1260 degrees, so you can then pick them up in about 4 weeks. If you want to make more pieces, there’s a nominal fee of $10 per item, with the final pick-up will be a few weeks later. Your pieces will be food safe, as well as microwave, oven and dishwasher-safe!

At our studio, sustainability reigns supreme. We reclaim all unfired clay is reused and we recycle the majority of our water too.
