Clay & Bubbles Handbuilding Class for Dockside Circle Members
It’s time for the Dockside Circle Members to enjoy some me-time! It’s time for clay fun!
Clay handbuilding isn't just about crafting; it's a journey of relaxation and mindfulness in today's fast-paced world. The tactile sensation of clay allows you to slow down and savour the moment. Under Bruna's guidance, even beginners can craft their own ceramics homewares, be it a cup, bowl, vase, or sculpture — each piece a testament to your unique expression.
Bruna will walk you through how to make your own ceramic homewares, step-by-step. You can make a cup, bowl, vase or sculpture - something truly unique. Finished pieces will be food-safe, microwave-safe, oven-safe and dishwasher-safe — something you'll actually use.
You’ll receive:
- Complimentary glass of bubbles (BYO additional drinks)
- Cheese & crackers (BYO additional nibbles)
- Up to 2 kgs of Stoneware Clay
- use of pottery tools
- Firing and glazing of 2 pieces back at Glaze Galleria
- Choice of 4 different glaze colours to personalise your creations
- finished ceramics in 3 - 4 weeks for pick up in Drummoyne
Paula from Smelty candles can even turn your ceramics into delightful soy candles infused with scents, for an extra $20 per piece (max 250 ml). Available scents:
- Japanese Honeysuckle
- Lavender
- Lime & Coconut
- Vanilla, Patchouli & Sandalwood
You'll end up with functional food-safe, microwave/dishwasher/oven-usable ceramics.
