Wheel Throwing Introductory Class (2 hours)
Have you always wanted to try the pottery?
This is your chance. Discover the therapeutic joys of pottery in our 2-hour clay workshop in our ceramic studio nestled in Sydney Inner West's Drummoyne.
Unwind as you learn the art of moulding stoneware clay into exquisite bowls, cups or a plant pots, using a pottery wheel. We have a maximum of 8 students in each class so you'll get personalised guidance and attention throughout.
No prior experience necessary: beginners, including children over 140 cm in height, are warmly welcome. Everyone makes something. We supply stoneware clay, tools and an experienced ceramics instructor so you can craft your creations on the wheel.
You get to throw as many pieces as you can to really develop your skills. Select your favourite pieces to keep, with the class covering two items. We will trim, fire, glaze in your choice of four colours and then fire them again, ready to pick up in 3 to 4 weeks. Two pieces are included - additional pieces can be finished for a nominal fee of $10 each.
You'll end up with functional food-safe, microwave/dishwasher/oven-usable ceramics.
