St Joan of Arc Primary School Family Fair | Kids & Adults Clay Handbuilding Class

As part of St Joan of Arc Primary School’s Fair, on 8 March 2025, we’re delighted to be able to offer a special clay class.

You can book your child (aged 7 years+) into a 1 & 1/2 hour clay class, and they can make their own ceramics that can be actually used for years to come. Clay making is relaxing, fun and will focus attention. Parents can book into these classes too and create great memories!

We’ll be set up in the hall and participants will make one piece of ceramics during the class. Kids will be able to handmake pottery and choose a glaze colour (from a selection of 4). Then, we take the piece back to our Studio for drying, firings (two) and glazing in a choice of colours. We high-fire stoneware clay to make functional pottery (as long as there aren’t any cracks in the finished pieces). Create treasures including bowls, cups or ornaments, that you can actually use, not just keep on a shelf.

A minimum of 6 students is required for a class to go ahead.
